I like the restaurant plot. You could brilliant a site in a chat with your groom to be. Families are uncommon in the celebration of events. Just speaking personally, I would brilliant a reasonably priced restaurant which features food and drink that is unique to your residential area. Keeping in mind the ethnic choices of your future in-laws. It is a small compromise to the original plot to avoid a celebration. But, compromise is a part of the relationship. Excellent luck.

Since you guys are getting hitched in Vegas, I reflect that a restaurant would be a fantastic choice for you. You would need to call the establishment you would want it at (personally I’d go with a nice sit down one) and see if they have like a party/banquet room that you could use. Involve your fiance in anyway doable, since judge it or not, some guys are even more excited than the females to plot wedding type events. I know my fiance is.
Hope I helped!!

Why not get married in Las Vegas and have the greeting there, too? Hotel place to stay are cheap compared to California. My husband and I got married at the Stratosphere tower, and we invited our immediate families, a handful of acquaintances, and their families, in whole about 40 people. It was fun and there was plenty to do. The Stratosphere provided a chapel, officiant, music, flowers, photographer, catering, and a banquet room. It was super simple to plot.

I can guarantee that 100% of your acquaintances/family want to come to Vegas to celebrate your wedding!
You’d be bowled over how inexpensive it can be, choose a small chapel and have your greeting at someplace like Cheeseburger Las Vegas (in Earth Hollywood). It’s laid back and fun, and as small as 15 people can have a fantastic party there. We DJ there nearly every week and it’s always a fantastic party!
Before/after the ceremony you can do shooting with the vendor of your choice, and your guests can play at the casinos, go to shows, etc.
