Stress Free Wedding Planning – Taking Time Out
Planning a wedding can be extremely stressful at the best of times, especially if you don’t give it enough thought or have not left enough time to organise everything properly.
It is quite advisable to just forget about your wedding plans for awhile every now and then and give yourself some breathing space even if the plans you are making is for a wedding of a life time that a royal princess will die for.
Take some time out, relax, have some fun, enjoy yourself, do something different, take some beauty sleep, go for a long walk or whatever you enjoy doing the most. This brief time spent doing something else rather than making wedding plans can really help your entire planning process to go a lot more smoothly overall and can actually help you to get more done in a shorter period of time, than if you just went at it non-stop without a break.
Preparing for a wedding should be fun, not a chore. It should bring the prospective bride and groom, family and friends closer together. Taking time out every now and then is a good thing, not a bad thing to do.
Don’t sweat the small details constantly, refresh your mind, your body and your soul and on the big wedding day itself, you might just be surprised at how well all of your wedding plans come together, giving everyone a huge amount of enjoyment and pride in being your guest and taking an important part in your very special wedding party.

Getting The Photography Right On Your Special Day
August 14, 2009 by Robert Wong
The wedding couple are the two most important people on a wedding day. To get some excellent portraits, the photographer should seclude the wedding couple from the celebration for a while to capture the intimate moments after the ceremony. This will give the wedding couple some time away from the wedding as well.
The portrait session will give the photographer enough time to spend with the wedding couple to capture the pictures. On the wedding day it doesn’t always happen because it is rare to have time on the actual day of the wedding. The time taken for pictures can well vary from an hour to no time at all. It can take up to an hour for the photographer to take the pictures.
The photographer will require some time with the bride and groom, but when is a good time?
Since the couple will still look fresh, most photographers believe that the window before the reception is suitable for the portraits.
Award winning photographer Bradley Hanson says that sometimes the bride and the groom would want to start the portrait session even before the ceremony. When the bride is getting ready is when he usually starts photographing.
Other photo journalists believe that the right time for a portrait session is just after the couple has exchanged their vows, and are still are evidently feeling the emotions of being newly-wed.
The couple should set aside some time with the photographer so the perfect actual day photo shoot will be flawless. They should find ways to politely lose the relatives and guests to acquire the beautiful moments, so that they can be cherished for a lifetime.
Too many people trying to take pictures of the newly-weds and crying for attention may very well ruin a good portrait session on the wedding day. As a result of this, most photographers choose to have the couple alone for the shoot so that it is not disturbed by anyone.
Most newly-weds start feeling uncomfortable before the camera when the portrait shoot is going to take place, says Shawna Herring, award winning photographer. To help the couple forget the camera is there, the experienced photographer will try talking to the couple about things other then the portrait shoot.
Sometimes people will choose to go to a different location the day before the wedding to have the photo shoot done. To have a good relationship with the photographer this really seems to help loosen them up. In a short time, the couple may even forget the existence of the camera.
It is at times impossible to achieve the perfect alone time with the photographer due to a variety of reasons. The bride and the groom should work together with the photographer to find some alone time so that a really creative portrait session is achieved.

Wedding Ideas – Tips To Make Your Big Day Unique
August 13, 2009 by Carol Bell

Creative wedding ideas are the key element to a personalized wedding that directly reflects the life and love of the bride and groom. When planning a wedding, it is essential that the event showcases special qualities about both individuals and projects their personal ideas about happiness ever after. This special day is the day that these two individuals visually show the world that their love is unique, special and lifelong. When planning the special day, taking time to insure that every tiny detail is in place will transform a memorable occasion into a spectacular event.
The most vital part of a wedding is the combination of two lives to become one. In this manner, it is valuable to take pieces from the bride and groom’s private history and employ it in planning the marriage ideas like decorations, invites, speeches, music and the marriage rite itself. If the bride and groom are from different heritages, research both cultures or interview the bride and groom to find out what’s significant from their family and childhood that they’d like to incorporate in the occassion.
As an example, if the bride or groom has Scottish roots, a great marriage idea would be to have the bride and groom leave the event to the sounds of a bagpipe musician. This would follow Scottish practice and highlight the family heritage for all the guests to recognize and enjoy.
Another wedding idea that is gaining in popularity in wedding ceremonies is the tradition of jumping the broom. In the Western African tradition, the broom is symbolic of sweeping away past mistakes and evil spirits. It was believed that by sweeping a broom over the heads of the bride and groom, the evil spirits could be warded off and thus the two would share a happy marriage. In the days of slavery, marriage between slaves was illegal. Many of the slaves came from African cultures that held a strong belief in ceremonial practices and the importance of a recognized union of marriage. With this in mind, they created the concept of taking marriage vows in front of witnesses and then jumping over a broom handle to recognize the union. Jumping of the broom became the wedding ceremony that allowed their union to be recognized by their peers the union but undetected by their masters.
There are many different wedding ideas throughout history that signify the values, beliefs and culture differences. When planning a wedding, insure that the ceremony is specific to the bride and groom by including wedding ideas from their history and their future dreams.
